Artist’s Statement
"I am inspired by the exquisite beauty in my environment whether at the beach, in the mountains, or in town. The sounds on a street corner, calm of the sand, energy of the ocean, drama of the mountains, and a sky in motion, each leave an impression. To share these moments, I sculpt images layering colors on canvas using palette knives as the vehicle. In creating rich images with deep textural qualities that reveal hints of unexpected vibrating light and color, my objective is to have you, the viewer, transported to this place, or a place of calm, energy, movement, warmth, or comfort. If you find yourself there, I have achieved my goal."
