"Primitive Soul" -- "Tsunami"

"Hopi Face" -- "Ankor"

Mildred Riley has spent the last seventy years expressing the beauty and emotions of life in a wide variety of artistic forms. From a classical training with oils and watercolors to a modernistic eclecticism involving both large and small paintings, assemblage, sculpture, furniture, clothing, and most recently computer art, she embodies the essence of a free spirit reflecting an exuberant appreciation of the human psyche dynamically expressed.

Her works are not only in many world-class private collections, but have been seen in a myriad of galleries, museums and shows throughout the decades. Some the shows include Milwaukee Art Museum, Palm Springs Desert Art Museum, The Weintraub Gallery in New York, San Francisco Museum of Art, Chicago Art Institute, the Rodeo Collection and BGH Gallery, Santa Monica. After 70 years as an artist, she now feels that being at the leading edge is her true aim. This also has been true with her appreciation, study and collection of fine art. Integrating what she has learned, experienced and envisioned, the artistic product, which emerges often, creates a somewhat sophisticated, yet radical commentary about what she sees and feels. When asked what she intends to do with the rest of her life, Mildred Riley's snappy reply . . . "I'm doing it now!"

Mildred has recently moved to the Rancho Palos Verdes area where she intends to continue her exploration of art and life.
