Nancy Gomez-Cornejo Milner was born in Lima, Peru into a family with a history of artistic tradition. It was her grandmother, Angela Ramos, a nationally renowned writer, poet, and theater critique that sparked Nancy’s early interest in art. Since the early age of five, she began her artistic journey by studying classical ballet under the supervision of principal dancer of the Paris Opera, Roger Fenonjois. After leaving Peru, Nancy broadened her experience by living in Spain, England, and New Zealand. Her exposure to diverse cultures and landscapes had a profound impact on her artistic sensibility and overall life perspective. Due to an impactful unexpected life change, Nancy sought out a way to regain balance in her life. Through this journey she rediscovered herself and found her voice through painting. Her contemporary paintings and atmospheric landscapes reflect an aura of mystery, deeply influenced by a combination of her Peruvian background, worldly travels, and her admiration for JMW Turner.
